Sr Elixir Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

Participate and own all aspects of the development life cycle starting from design, estimation, development, and testing the apps and web applications
Coordinate the feature development with business owners and follow up with teammates to bring feature to closure
Write high quality code with test coverage and good documentation
Possess the ability and desire to dive into an existing codebase and grasp the functionality, design, and refactoring opportunities in the code
Share past experiences and mentor fellow team members in improving the team’s implementation and development discipline

Required Skills:

1 to 5 years software engineering experience in any language, preferably Erlang
1 to 4 years Experience Programming Elixir either professionally or a significant contribution to open source.
Experience with Phoenix Live View
Experience working with Ecto
Working knowledge of WebSockets and GraphQL
Proficiency with SQL and PostgreSQL
A deep understanding of the fundamentals of Erlang is a must
Experience working in a containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes)
Proficiency with git/github/bitbucket
Familiar with sprint process and agile principles, including usage of JIRA
Bachelor’s Degree or major developer school certification
Willing to work in a startup environment for a sports betting company
